2025 Community Blitz Pie-Day Fundraising Success!
We are thrilled to announce that our Pie-day Fundraising Community Blitz was a resounding success! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we raised $690.09 in donations. With the full matching contribution from Mission360, this brings our total to $1380.18, which will be donated to The Divine Chess Academe in Uganda, Africa.

In the Open Section, Eric Li secured 1st place with an impressive score of 11.5/12, while Dylan Tang and Omya Vidyarthi shared 2nd place with a score of 8/12.
In the U1800 Section, Alexander Perl achieved 1st place with a score of 6/12, and both Gary Scheppler and Jenny Qi tied for 2nd place with 5/12.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the winners for their generous donations of their prizes.

In 2025, Mission360 will continue to support The Divine Chess Academe in Uganda, Africa. With supports from generous donors like you, we can help by feeding them, educating them, and giving them a better life of living. Together we can use chess games to impact and transform the life of orphans and under privileged people in the world.

Tournament info
Where: 2050 Concourse Dr #42, San Jose, CA 95131
When: 7 – 9 pm, Mar 14, 2025
Tournament Format: Swiss System
Total Rounds: 10 rounds of single games (10 SS)
First Round: 7 pm and consecutive rounds are on a rolling schedule. Estimated end-time: 9 pm.
Time Control: G/3+2 (Game in 3 minutes with a 2-second increment with each move.)
Games will be US Chess blitz rated. Tournament results will be submitted immediately after the last round is finished.
Two Sections: 1800+ and U1800
Pairings are based on the higher of Feb 2024 OTB supplemental regular US Chess rating.
Please bring your chess clock if possible.
Byes
Byes are available for players in case they can't participate but would like to stay in the tournament.
Byes can be requested for a maximum of 2 rounds, with receiving 0.5 points for each round.
Late registrations will receive two half-point byes for any missed round, up to a total of 2 rounds.
